We work with 3D printing technology because it is extremely resource-friendly and meets our requirements for sustainable production. Only as much raw material is used as is necessary for the production. The remaining material can be recycled and reused to a large extent. Thanks to the new technology, we can produce in Switzerland. This means that we keep transport distances short and are committed to regional value creation.
Digital technology meets precise craftsmanship. With 3D printing, we rely on innovative and future-oriented manufacturing. The production of our Swiss made cycling glasses takes place in four steps:
3D PRINTING
Layer by layer, polyamide powder is applied. In the meantime, a laser draws the front and the temples of the glasses into the powder. Where the laser hits the surface, the material hardens. This is how our frames are created from the powder - layer by layer.
COMPACTING
During compaction, the glasses are specifically shot with bullets. Thanks to this special process, the pores are being closed. The result is a unique matte look with a pleasant feel, which prevents moisture or sweat from penetrating the glasses.
COLOURING
In the colouring process, the front and temples are coloured in a special infiltration process. Under the influence of pressure and heat, the colour penetrates the surface of the glasses. The colours meet all the necessary standards. They are biocompatible, food safe and scratch resistant.
ASSEMBLING
Finally, the glasses are being put together manually. The frame only consists of three elements: A front, two temples, and four pins. The hinge is completely integrated into the frame. The front and temples interlock and are fixed with two pins on each side.
