How to Properly Clean Your Sports Glasses: Summer Care Tips
Sweat, dust, and sunscreen put your sports glasses to the test during summer. To keep them durable and ensure clear vision at all times, proper cleaning and care are crucial. In this article, you’ll learn how to clean your sports glasses effectively, protect the lenses, and preserve the coatings for lasting performance.
AFTER SPORTS: RINSE YOUR SPORTS GLASSES UNDER RUNNING WATER
After your workout, rinse your sports glasses thoroughly under running lukewarm water. This gently removes sweat and dust without harming the lens coatings. Next, softly rub the lenses with a mild hand soap and rinse well. Pat dry the frame with a cloth, then gently dry the lenses using a microfiber cloth, such as the included glasses pouch.
For a deeper clean, an ultrasonic cleaner can be used. It removes stubborn dirt from hard-to-reach areas and ensures streak-free lenses. Important: Never rub dirty sports glasses dry with a cloth or jersey, as this risks scratching the lenses and damaging the coatings.
PROPER STORAGE FOR YOUR SPORTS GLASSES – ON THE GO AND AT HOME
While active, store your sports glasses in the included microfiber pouch to protect the lenses and prevent contact with other items – whether in your jersey pocket or backpack. At home, keep your glasses safely in the pouch and hard case, stored in a dry place.
